About The IGR Initiative
The IGR Initiative brings together stakeholders to debate, learn, and generate ideas relevant to reform action & advocacy that improves the revenue-generating capacity of subnational governments (States and LGs). Some of these stakeholder groups include tax officials (IRS), staff of revenue-generating agencies, heads of MDAs, members of the academia, researchers, consultants, citizens, taxpayers, entrepreneurs, opinion & thought leaders, and all those interested and involved in IGR for subnational governments.
Our Vision is to be the leading platform for debate and ideation, learning and innovation, reform action and advocacy geared towards improving the entire IGR process for all stakeholders at the subnational level.
Our Objectives
- Bringing together a broad spectrum of stakeholders for interaction and exchange on diverse matters relating to IGR improvement at a subnational level;
- To provide a robust platform for learning and exchange between IGR practitioners and a broad spectrum of experts, consultants and taxpayers aimed toward continuous improvement and adaptation;
- Building a digital resource hub and repository for knowledge, data, and information on IGR expansion;
- Provide ideas, solutions and data that can influence policies and decision making on IGR;
- Creating a network of IGR improvement experts and practitioners that can offer solutions and services on IGR matters

Anyone involved or interested in IGR at the subnational level can join the Initiative and its programs.
